As part of the practical training I installed a lighting circuit with 2 way switches, ring final circuit in metal conduit, and SWA cabling for radial socket circuit.

At the moment I am studying with Trades Gateway to become a fully qualified & certified commercial and domestic electrician, in order to be able to carry out full electrical installations, in compliance with the BS 7671 wiring regulations. I already obtained two of the required City and Guilds certifications, namely the Level 2 Principles of Electrical Science – with distinction and Level 3 Certificate in the Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings.

Update: In 2018, after I successfully completing my studies and passing the exams, I officially became a Stroma-certified electrical installer. I can carry out full domestic electrical installations, in compliance with the BS 7671 wiring regulations. I’m registered under Competent Person Scheme as Certified Installer in Full Scope Domestic Electrical Installations.
